We are a small and loving congregation, with a strong passion for involvement and service. We are committed to working for social justice. Of particular concern to us—homelessness and housing, care for persons vulnerable because of human trafficking, and economic justice. We are a community church—and a warm, welcoming place, aspiring to enfold all who visit or who come to stay. We’re a church of imagination—seeking to envision and live out new ways of being church in the world.
Nurturing the spirit within
Church of the Isles (COTI) United Church of Christ is an inclusive church, open to diverse people and beliefs, and deeply rooted in God’s extravagant love, mercy and justice. We celebrate diversity in religious background, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, race, and abilities. We each are welcomed when we gather for worship on Sundays, “No matter who we are, or where we are on life’s journey.”
Affiliated with the United Church of Christ
We are part of the United Church of Christ, formed in 1957 through a merger of the Congregational Christian and Evangelical and Reformed Churches, now numbering 1.3 million members in 5,725 churches in the United States and Puerto Rico. Through it we share in the work of the National and World Councils of Churches. Locally, we support Pinellas Plus Clergy Network and work closely with ecumenical partners, Calvary Episcopal Church and St. Jerome’s Roman Catholic Church.
